WHAT SMART PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT TODAY ๐Ÿ‘€

#1 - OpenAI is getting fancy with a paid version of ChatGPT

Hold onto your keyboards because the wait is finally over - OpenAI has officially opened the door for you to join the exclusive VIP waitlist for ChatGPT Professional, the paid version of the chatbot that'll have you feeling like Tony Stark in Iron Man.

So what's the new paid version got over the free version? It's got faster responses than a cheetah on Red Bull, no more of those pesky blackout windows, and you can search twice as much as the regular ChatGPT.

To join the waitlist for ChatGPT Professional, just follow this link to the Google Form, and be prepared to answer some high-level questions about pricing. But don't worry, it's not like they're asking you to sell your firstborn or anything crazy like that.

So that's the story. Start getting ready to impress your friends with your lightning-fast chatbot responses. Just don't blame us when they start calling you Jarvis.

#2 - Apple's ad game is about to level up: Head of Ad Sales wanted

Looks like Apple is looking to hire a new head honcho for their ad sales team, and they're not being shy about it. They want to cash in on their expensive streaming service, Apple TV+ by selling ads around their content.

They've spent billions on big-name Hollywood talent like Spielberg and Scorsese, and now they're ready to make some money back. They're also planning to sell ads on their sports programs, because let's face it, who doesn't love a good baseball game with a side of commercials?

They're in the market for a senior executive with TV and streaming experience, and anyone with experience in the field is a contender, including Paramount Global's chief digital advertising officer David Lawenda, and Netflix ad sales VP Peter Naylor, who has held senior roles at Snap, Hulu, and NBCUniversal.

Also, Apple is planning to make a splash at Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity in June, where ad executives go to schmooze, cut deals, and see the latest and greatest in the market. Apple has never been too keen on participating in the past, but this year they're planning to negotiate a major beachfront presence, which is estimated to cost between 3 to 5 million.

So, if you're a senior executive with TV and streaming experience, and you're looking for a new challenge, why not apply to Apple? Just don't expect them to share any consumer data with you.

#3 - GA4 just released 12 keys to unlocking the treasure trove of your ecomm data

Google Analytics 4 (GA4) has dropped 12 new metrics and dimensions that will have ecommerce advertisers and retailers doing cartwheels.

Why should you care? Well, for all you ecommerce advertisers and retailers out there, you'll now have the ability to snoop on specific information about your products, services, and interactions. You'll also be able to see which countries are buying the most socks (or whatever it is you're selling) with the "Items purchased" and "Purchases by country" metrics.

You can now find the following ecommerce dimensions and metrics in Explorations and the Data API:

  • Item affiliation

  • Item variant

  • Items added to cart

  • Items checked out

  • Items clicked in list

  • Items clicked in promotion

  • Items viewed
